Having an Escape Plan is Important

  • Everyone in the home should have planned at least two ways to escape from each room of your home. 
  • Smoke can be dangerous. Get low and go!
  • Decide where everyone will meet once you get outside. 
  • Never go back inside for people, pets, or personal items as this can be dangerous. 
  • If a fire starts you may have less than two minutes to get to safety. 
  • If a fire starts, get out to safety then dial 911. 
  • Practice your two minute drill.
  • Test your fire alarms monthly.
